Our Alpine Mountaineering Courses are based in the traditional alpine village of Evolene in the Arolla valley.

During the main season (2 July to 27 August) we operate from chalet "Chemin des Etoiles" with our own staff who prepare fabulous home cooking and baking. We also have 3 twin rooms with private balconies in apartment "Beau Séjour" nearby.

In June and September we use "Chalet Les Criquets", Judith and Mike Hawtrees' Evolene chalet, supplemented by the nearby Hotel Hermitage for our busier weeks. Chalet les Criquets offers Judith's usual high standard of hospitality and home cooking and is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel for guests sleeping there.

Our clients really appreciate the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and flexibility that having our own chalet provides.

What's Included?

Included* in our mountaineering course prices are all guiding fees and guides expenses, valley accommodation (in shared rooms) plus breakfast, packed lunches, afternoon tea and three course dinners when you're in the valley. All our properties have Wifi.
