An Advanced Mountaineering Course for experienced climbers and regular Alpinists who have completed many successful ascents at AD standard. This technical mountaineering course offers the chance to extend your experience and skills to accomplish major "grandes courses" at D+, TD and even ED1 standard.

With 3 days of 1:1 guiding on a 6 day course (or 6 days on a 2 week course), the plan is to have 2 mountain guides working with 2 clients to climb as a foursome on bigger, more technical, routes where mutual support and proximity will provide extra security.

Advanced Mountaineering Course GuideTechnical Mountaineering Course Eiger

This is your chance to climb great routes such as Rochefort-Grandes Jorasses Traverse (D), Kuffner Route, Mont Maudit (D), Schreckhorn South Pillar (D+), Diable Ridge of Mont Blanc de Tacul (D+), Innominata Ridge on Mont Blanc (D+), Weisshorn Traverse (D), East Face of the Grepon (D+), Cassin Route on the Piz Badile, Douves Blanches Ridge (D).

It's best for climbers wishing to tackle the Matterhorn or Eiger to book these trips specifically and we will pre-book the huts. If you decide you'd like to climb these on a Performance Alpinism week you can pay a chf130 supplement at the time (equating to the cost of booking our "Matterhorn / Eiger for Groups" trip) subject to hut availability.
