Intermediate Ice Climbing

The next step in ice climbing. Building on previous experience, climbing steeper, longer routes, learning to lead or just doing more climbing - this course is very flexible. You'll need good fitness - steeper ice is hard work.

This course will be a maximum 1:2 ratio allowing more technical climbing on multi pitch routes.

Some likely points to look at:

- Steeper climbing. 

- Technique coaching. 

- Leashless tools and mono points - modern equipment. 

- Moving faster up and down longer routes. 

- Judging snow and ice conditions. 

- Learning to lead on ice. 

- The rest is up to you - what do you want to learn?

The course is based in Cogne, Italy - a world class ice climbing venue with plenty of routes to chose from at all grades.   

You'll probably have your own gear but axes, crampons, helmets, harnesses can be hired. 

We'll meet you in the hotel on the Saturday night with the first climbing day being the Sunday.  Prices include half board accomodation through to the Friday night.
