Terms & Conditions

1)    A deposit of 50% of course cost per person is required to secure a booking, with a completed and signed booking form.

2)   The balance is due no later than 6 weeks before the start of a course or private guiding. We cannot guarantee your place if the balance is not received on time.

3)   If you cancel:

- Prior to 6 weeks before commencement; loss of deposit.

- Less than 6 weeks 100% of the guiding fee.

Cancellation insurance is recommended.

4)   Frostguiding reserves the right to cancel a booking. This would be for unavoidable circumstances only and in this case a full refund will be offered, alternative dates or a replacement guide arranged. If a course fails to attract enough people the course maybe cancelled with a full refund offered or an alternative course offered.

5)   Rescue / travel insurance is mandatory. Insurance against injury, death or loss of earnings is strongly recommended.

6)   Climbing, skiing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Please read the British Mountaineering Council’s participation statement. (See BMC)

7)   The guide will endeavour to complete the itinerary proposed but reserves the right to change this for reasons related to safety, client fitness/ability, bad weather or snow conditions, etc.

8)   The guide is responsible for client safety, route choice, etc, and his/her decision is final. The guide cannot be responsible for any client who ignores/disobeys/fails to cooperate with his/her decisions. 

 9)   Loaned or hired equipment must be returned in a reasonable condition or the repair or replacement cost will be charged.

10) No liability can be accepted for services provided by a third party even if it is recommended by Frostguiding or somebody working for Frostguiding.

11) If you wish to make a complaint about the service provided, please raise the issue immediately with your guide or Frostguiding. If the complaint is unresolved to your satisfaction a written complaint should be made within 28 days.

12) If a dispute arises and there is recourse to legal proceedings English law will govern any litigation

14)When booking with Frostguiding, you agree to accept and abide by these Terms and Conditions.
