About Frost Guiding

Graham has been mountaineering in one way or another for the last...25 years, first hill-walking, then scrambling, rock-climbing, Scottish winter and the Alps, Himalaya and big walls. He had a brief obsession with mountain biking, a scary "teach-yourself" paragliding phase, and even tried canoeing. He is very much an "all-rounder", happy on rock, ice or skis, but above all happy to be in the mountains.

Frostguiding is a small company, and the only British guiding company based year-round in the region. Our aim is simply to help you get the most out of your mountaineering. Whatever your ability, age or ambition the mountains offer a challenge and a great experience.

Evolene is a small town in a beautiful unspoilt valley. It is proud to offer visitors a warm and friendly welcome, and has good campsites, b+b, hotels, restaurants and shops. There is plenty to do besides climbing - mountain biking, paragliding, hill walking, summer chair lifts, open-air ice skating in winter, excellent thermal baths...There is however no nightclub, so if you really want a Chamonix style aprés-ski scene you'll be disappointed!

Getting here is easy. By car take the motorway to Sion, then 25 minutes drive south to Evolene. There are frequent punctual trains from Geneva airport, 2 hours to Sion. The bus station is right next to the train station.
